I have a rotary tiller question? My new machine is 6.89 feet wide. Will a 7 footer be okay or should I go up to 8 footer. Im not sure if tillers are true to size or overall bigger then the size stated. Thanks
Now my head will be spinning all day.
6.89 feet! Sure it's not 6.89137 feet.
I'm sorry...but what is it? PTO tiller? PTO hp, etc. Sounds like 7 ft. Is right. Maybe tiller is 6.97ft.?
Check with the Tiller manufacture for PTO HP requirements and factor in the soil type your going to be dealing with then go with biggest tiller with margin so as not to run out of HP.
Suspect 8' should work well with 61 PTO
Have you thought about buying a used Whirlwind Levee Plow to do your tilling? You can build raised beds in one pass and incorporate lime and gypsum deep and break the hardpan as well in one pass.
