Kubota L3400

Where is a good source for a tilt cylinder? Can you even buy a cylinder made up with the proper ends or do you have to make your own?
What is the Bore and stroke?

Knight,

Here is a company that will make up, or sell you exactly what you want. You could go larger if you have the space.

Some things you will have to know. Length, bore size, stroke, end mountings. Do you want welded cyl, or tie rod cyl, etc. Give them a call and tell them all the particulars.

Did you use the check valve to hold cylinder in place? You know the little valve mounted between the in and out on the cylinder?

No, I do not have any of the check valves on any of my tractor hydraulics. I am not a big fan of those check valves. I know, I know a lot of people here on TBN are. But I believe that if you have good products, hydraulics, hoses, VALVES, that the double pilot operated check valves are not really needed. That has been my experience anyway. Plus I have float mode on my valves and that doesn't work when you have a dpocv on the cylinder.

As far as having the hydraulic Top Link, if you have a box blade, then you would be very happy to have a hydraulic Top Link. Now if you use the Top Link to help hold your back hoe on, then you might want to get one of the Top Links with the dpocv.

Just my opinion.

I will sure agree that the tilt cylinder is not improved much with DPOCVs. Since the 3PH floats, it is really lost effort to lock the sidelink's length. However, if you don't need float on your remotes, the DPOCVs can be purchased on CCM's toplink at close to the same price as a toplink without it. I found after having both that my CCM toplink is rigid and stable. So, I guess I'm in the other camp of those who think the CCM toplink is superior.:)
