Doing a lot of brush hogging... so far, I found the dash mounted position to be the most protective place to mount...

John,
That looks pretty good. I have one of Rick's mounting bracket prototypes and I'll post a pic of it when I put it on. Haven't had time recently.

I can't tell for sure from your picture, but is that tiltmeter vertical? If it is angled back it will be easier to read, but it will exaggerate the sideways tilt of the tractor.

From the seat, it's got great visibility with the rest of the instrument panel...

I was hanging over the seat taking the picture.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

John,

I was thinking the same thing as Will. If the meter is tilted back, you might be getting a false reading. Or is the mount deceiving.

I looked at the dash again today... yes there is a slight angle... I didn't think to measure the amount, but I will.

I had it mounted on the hood..., but I was concerned about knocking it off... I kept looking at the tiltmeter to make sure it was still there... It ended up being distracting enough to move to the dash area.

I just got back, and brush hogged part of an old apple orchard and hit a bee's nest... all the bee's put the word out and called their buddy bee's... I couldn't get them off my face...

To say it stings... is an understatement... /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

{and no I didn't have a chance to get any pictures... even though the camera was strapped to my side.../w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif }

Here's a shot of my tiltmeter with the prototype bracket. I have it tilted toward the front of the tractor but with the bracket you can adjust it how you want it. See the next picture.
