This is what we've always done. It's a little bit of work (I'm guessing no one here is allergic to that), but works every time.
Time to powerwash the vinyl siding .

I just use water on the fan setting of the nozzle. Works great.

was pressure washing my retaining wall today and POW ! Motor slung a rod ! I have never slung a rod in a small engine in my life.. This pressure washer is about 4-5 yrs old, but hasn't been used very much at all. Still looks like new ! I think I paid $300.00 for this unit at HD.. Cheap Kohler engines ! I had to pull out the big North Star 4k PSI unit with honda engine to finish the job
