John Deere 318
I have a 1989 318 w/1,100 original hours. It's burning oil, but still runs strong. It has a 50" deck (recently rebuilt & painted) w/2-bag power-flow and a 47" single-stage snow-thrower (also rebuilt/painted). It's time to upgrade to a 4x4 tractor for snow-blowing my steep driveway. I'm looking for either an x585/x595 or if I can find a reasonably priced x728/x748. How many hours is considered "too much" on a liquid-cooled Kawasaki 2-cylinder and same question for the Yanmar 3-cylinder diesel?
Another question is single-stage vs. 2-stage snow-thrower... which is better and why? Thank you in advance.
