Timing a MT226D diesel

I posted this on the Mitsubishi board but no help yet.
Can someone tell me how to set the injector timing on a series 2 mitsubishi diesel? It is a MT 226D tractor and is 35 HP. Under load it will pull down and I can push in the cluth or drop load and it takes a while for rpm to come back up. Also it doesn't rev up as fast a it should. Can I rotate the pump to advance timing or how is it done?:confused2: Thank for helping.

red dog if you search for a company in texas called m&d diesel they probably can help you. they have many locations in texas and are based out of houston. it might be that you will have to send or take possibly the injection pump off to be bench tested where all the settings are set to factory specs the injection pump more than likely will be the problem.

I had an old Iseki tractor with a Mitsubishi engine. On that one, the timing was set with shims inbetween the injector pump and engine block. I'm assuming that your engine is something similar.
