I want to buy some attachments, but as we all know, prices have gone through the roof with increases in steel costs. Now, with the worldwide recession/depression, steel prices have tumbled. Scrap yards are stockpiling their scrap, hoping for better prices in the near future. How long before these declines in commodity prices are reflected in lower prices for our tractor gadgets? Am I better off waiting to spring, for example? What are your guesses?

Just bought 5' cimarrone heavy disk 06 model from local dealer had laying around.
$800.00 an 08 model is $1,200.00. I don't think we are going to see a drop in steel
prices like we seen in fuel.If there is inflation will take any savings. Most
implement manufactures over produce to keep there business running hoping
for turn in economy. Keep looking deals are out there,Framer

I wish I knew the answer to that question. In addition to the price of steel, there is also the law of supply and demand. Around here there is a large demand for gardening related items. It is almost impossible to find a pressure canner locally. Personally, I think many people are planning to do what we are and grow as much food as possible this summer, so prices may not come down much. This is just my opinion.

Hmmmm.....methinks you have just asked the $64,000 question. ;)

Consider the factories dilemma....high priced inventory due to high cost steel and materials.....and a marketplace that is VERY soft. I think most of 'em have been dragging their heels in offering lower prices....'cause they don't know what's going to happen next either. I believe most of them are going to see if the higher prices will "fly" with their customers that need to buy this spring...then cut the prices later in desperation.

Time will tell....the plot thickens. Just my .02 cents.
