Oil & Fuel Timing Jinma 284, LL380 engine

My First Post Have been learning a lot from other posts.
I messed up let engine oil run low seizing to piston bearings. Pulled engine cleaned aluminiun from bearings with muric acid Looks pretty good.
but when I tried to Pull the crank I forgot about timing. The other gears should be in sink but how do i Line up the crank to the rest.

Welcome. Most all engines have timing marks (little round dots) on the gears. What I usually see is two on the crankshaft and one on the cam shaft, but no idea on you model tractor. On the bikes I work on they all have OHC and you align marks on the cam sprocket with the head or with engine centerline. If no marks, set the crank at #1 TDC and put the camshaft in with the #1 exhaust barely starting to open.

It does "show" but I cannot seem to enlarge it- and it is kinda grainy. Did you take the picture? I need to see all of the gears at the same time to even hazard a guess. Injection pump, cam shaft and crank have to be perfect. Oil pump and hydro pump do not matter.

You know, I would have tendency to line up the "A's" with the "A" and "B" with the "B" and the "O" with the "O" bjr

I still cannot open them. When I get back inside I'll re-start Windows 8 and try again.

OK, restarting allowed me to open it. You match the single letters to the double, just as I thought. So for example, the "A" tooth would line right in the middle of the "A" A" teeth on the opposing gear, that gets the single "B" tooth aligned with (in between) the two "B"B". Same with the zeros. That's how it should go.
