I learned how to time my baler this weekend, the hard way, with hay on the ground and rain on the horizon. Threw the chain that runs the feeder times and before it broke the shear pin, broke the maine drive chain. Ran to tractor supply, the only place open at 6:00 pm saturday and bought all the chain parts they had of the right sizes. Read the manual all night, a bunch of times before I fell asleep and hundreds of times in my sleep, never realized reading was so tireing. Got the chains back on but had a bear of a time getting the timing down. Got the feeder tines OK, knotter drive was another story. Had to advance knotter 2 links past the alignment marks, but finally got it. Baled the hay and backed the trailers and truck into my equipment shed then, went bck to get the baler and hit showers on the way home. Proof I must be living right.
