Tin work on Craftsman walk behind blower

Hi I have a quick question, About 2 years ago I bought a used blower for my sons in-laws. They are less than careful with things and while tinkering on the unit... (long story) they took off the red tin work around the carb and then promptly lost it.
My so got it back after they found another way to move snow so now we own it. I think the dude hit a rock and sheared the flywheel key. I guess it would not run so he started to take the carb off and hence lost the tin piece. If memory serves the shut off was mounted on that tin piece. If I could tell you the model is there a place to get that piece of tin? Can I buy that piece someplace? I don't know the model off the top of my head but I can find out. Any 'shut down piece' would be nothing more than a grounding of the ignition system.

You can rig a simple wire to do the same job and if you want to get fancy you can fix up a dead mans switch.

Well I had it in my shop a while back and I cannot remember too well ,but I thought there was at least 1 wire dangling there where the tin should have been. But I may not be remembering correctly. I think that wire went to a switch that was mounted to the missing tin plate. I only owned it for about 1/2 a day before it went to them and it just is not the same now. The blower honestly had less than 1 hour on it when I bought it. I never should have let it go.
