So was rock crawling with the RTV, had it in diff lock 4wd and approaching a 3 wheel rock (3 on the ground) somewhere in the rear goes TINK! sounded sort of like when a stubborn bolt breaks loose, but loud. It was not the frame dragging. RTV seemed to go OK after that including diff lock and 4wd but have a feeling something let loose and don't know what it could be. Any ideas what I should look over? Unfortunately rock crawling certain passages is necessary until I get a woods road to the back lot.

Thanks.

Might been a spring settleing, or something done shifted and snapped back in place. I would still take a look under it. But I bet it was really nothing at all. I don't really think you have anything to worry about, it was that loud, you can be it was external.

Noises like that will put the fear of God in ya. But alot of times, it will be a tight bolt, or a piece of new machinery part settleing in place. If it was something serious, I feel like you would have done noticed it by now .....

Again, I could be where a small rock or stick jumped up and hit some steel. These things are solid .

At one time, I had a very loud "Tink or Ping" noise happen on mine while crossing a ditch on the farm, wouldn't have known what it was if my son wasn't behind me on a four wheeler and seen a stick get thrown up under it and hit bed frame or the bed itself. It then sounded metal, but he said it was sure a stick, for he seen it . Scared the heck out of me . Thought something went wrong, things like that will put monsters in your mind for sure *******

Stay Safe & Enjoy !!!!!

Thanks for the feedback, good point about it being external, cause it was loud.
I'll take a look at it and keep on running, probably nuthin, but it seems I'm on a streak of breaking stuff .

NWood, Do you have the hyd. power bed lift?
When the bed is raised there is a 12" long piece of channel you can inset into the lift cylinder to stop it from dropping. This piece of channel when not in use is stored on the top frame left hand side next to lft rear tire. This piece snaps into place along the frame. It also will snap out of place if RTV is twisted. Causing a snapping metal sound. Go check it out...All Is Fine!!
Hope this helps
