I just purchased a tiny tach for my BX22TLB but I am not sure of the hook up. Does or can anyone give this novice a set of pictures, instructions, etc on how to hook this thing up. I am really not sure about the battery hook up and the fuse block. The engine block ground is pretty straight forward.

Thanks for helping a newbie out.

nnicklas,

I don't have a tiny tach but looked into getting one. You need the right size pulse sensor for the injector lines. Clean off the paint from the line (any one will do) and clamp it on. Connect the ground lead and then the power for the unit to a fused lead from the battery. Here is a link with pictures and a search will show a few other threads.

Have fun,

I have a tiny tach on my 2200. The transducer is 6mm.It was very simple to install. Red and black to Batt,And the long lead goes to the transducer. Be sure to route the wires away from hot things. But the tach works great.

I mounted it right above the light switches. I ran the wires under themselves. I just pushed the switches back in the hole. I will mount the switch with velcroto the instrument panel . But it just sits there without sticking it to the instrument panel.Vibration is not a problem. And you can see it very well. I think there is a thread with pictures on this site. Good luck with the installation. Mine works Very good!!

Thanks. What about for power. Where did you tap into?

I just ran the wires straight to the battery. red to plus and black to negative. And the transducer wire is routed through the firewall and mounted on the No 1 fuel injector line. Sand the grey paint off where you mount the transducer on the fuel line. And before you know it, you are reading rpms. Good luck. I think you will like it.
