I think the tires on my tractor are original from 2004. They loose air slowly every month or 2. I've been airing them back up to 30 psi. Chinese writing on the side walls. Cracks around the block tread. Nothing serious.

Should they be replaced soon ?

I have tires that are older than that, but all of my equipment is stored inside. If the tractor was not stored inside, they may need replacement. I don't know anything about your tractor but 30 psi seems high. I would try to find specs for your tires or similar tires to find out what the max psi should be.

The tires said something like 220 or 240 kpa. 30 psi is just a little lower. This tractor spent all of it's time outdoors in the desert.

Usually any pressure listed on a tire is it's maximum pressure,
usually the best performance is at less then that.
As far as tire age on a tractor as long as they hold air, I figure they are good.
With yours going down over a long period of time, I'd change the valve cores
and add a tire sealant, I prefer the better ones from places like Gemplers over tire slime.

I would tube or re-tube them LONG before replacing them.
Then, unless you're in a freeze zone in Az, refill with water to 80% volume.
Check for leaks. Wire brush any rust around the bead to ensure a good seat.
Use a bead sealant, if handy.
You can always throw money at it later.

I think they have tubes, but still have to check. The valve stems just feel flexible like a tube.

I was thinking of just replacing the tubes before replacing the tires.

The rear tubes on my TO 35 are filled with water/calcium chloride. I had a leak in a tube, and had a mobile tire service come by to fix it, though my tires are badly weather checked he advised me not to replace them at this point, that they will last many more years. They looked almost new when I bought the tractor in 1980.

Unless you need the weight and are spinning and digging I would not fill the tires and not to 80%,
your ride quality will go down as well as the impact resistance.

I agree. If you've been using your tractor without filled tires without problems, there's no reason to fill them. And just a note; The Chinese have never been able to produce quality vulcanized rubber. I'm not sure why but they can't. I can barely take the stench of the utility tires sold by Harbor Freight. They almost rot before your eyes when exposed to sunlight. I've had car tires blow-out when the car was just parked. I will never buy them again. It's just not worth the initial saving if you have to repurchase tires two or three times. And the warranty stinks too.

The tires on my first tractor - Ford 1700 4WD - were still in good shape when I traded it in after 27 years of use. My tractors are always stored under cover when not in use. The first tractor had Goodyear tires all the way around. My current tractor - Kubota M6040 - has Titan-front - Goodyear-rear. Nothing bad, at all, after eleven years.

"Out of the sun" - very important for maintaining longevity with tires and all other rubber components.
