I know that tirechains.com sells chains but getting them shipped to Alaska is cost prohibitive. I checked the Kubota website and it doesn't appear that they sell chains; my local dealer was pretty busy today as they are only a Kubota dealer on the side and couldn't get me an answer as to wether or not Kubota sells chains. Does anyone know if Kubota sells tire chains? Any recomendations on the type of chains I should buy for a turf-saver tire? Thanks for any input, I tried the search function but couldn't get the answer I wanted after wading through several pages of topics. Thanks!

I called my Kubota dealer two weeks ago about chains. They don't sell them because it's easier to get them from a tire dealer. I went to www.tirechains.com to order some for my BX2200 turf tires. Rear Tire Front Tire About $200 for the front and rear, including $25 shipping from PA to IN. They have other chains, I just wanted some that will dig in to the ice. I think that $25 shipping includes AK(I checked the same chains I ordered but shipped to 99507), unless you want next day air for $999!

I would like to refer you to this thread in the Kioti Owning & Operating Forum. My post in that forum is applicable to your quest for chains in this forum. Please read this..... If you find that the chains from either source are more than you want to spend, I might be able to locate a used set for you from a local garden tractor dealer in MA that I know. I could ship them to you by UPS and I can send you e mail pictures beforehand... Junk...

Junk,

Thank you very much for your offer, it is much appreciated and very gracious of you! However, the UPS shipping would be quite expensive, even for a used set that would be a steep bill to swallow. I am trying to guage the weight of the chains and then figure out USPS shipping. I am also trying to find an Alaska dealer for the US made chains that you mentioned in your older post. Thanks again for your offer to help!

Give St Pierre a call and ask them about shipping. Many times a company can ship a product for less than the consumer because of the better shipping rates that they receive. Junk

Surely you can't be the only customer in Alaska that wants chains for his tractor! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Doesn't the dealer stock something, even if it isn't Kubota? I bought chains for my BX 2200 through my dealer even though they weren't Kubota chains. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Check with Arctic Wire & Rope in Anchorage 907-562-0707, they've got a massive selection of US and foreign made chains.

I use expensive European ones (diamond pattern) on the back and chepo asian ones on the front with no problems.
