Tire chains for forestry use

My dad and I both are beginning to look at tire chains for our tractors. He has a Massey 1529 and I have a kubota MX 5100. We both use them in the woods extensively and this winter has been tricky what with all the snow.....we need chains. We want quality and we like the looks of the aquiline talon and foresttrac but know nothing about their quality. Anyone running these chains? Good,bad,ugly? I know would be happy with a set of TRYGG chains but they're $1100 for my kubota...but if that's the only way to buy quality I'll keep saving my pennies! Any thoughts and experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I've had Talons since 07 on L3400 with AG 11.2-24 tire's, cost was around $400.00, the chains started breaking last year, 5 times this past season, good thing I have a small mig welder. I put them on late Nov.-1st. Dec., take them off in April. I use them to haul out wood, and plow snow. I feel they should of lasted at least 10 year's/seasons, they might if the cross links was 10-12MM,/ 3/8-7/16" in stead of 8MM,or made in USA or Europe, in stead of China, I never had good luck with Chinese made stuff, accept for Dewalt tools, China does a great job making them. No I'm not that happy with Talons, wouldn't recommend them to a friend, unless they have a mig welder, and not much$$$, I give them 1 star out 5. I have pic of them on tire chain storage thread.

I have had Talons for five years now. They are very well made. I don't do forestry work but I hunt on and around leased ground that is logged. All the skidders that I have seen had ring style chains on them. And I've seen a bunch of skidders.
