Tire chains for sno pushin

Would like to hear from those of you with experience in pushin snow with your tractor and the preferred tire chain design. I have previously utilized the design that is shown on tirechains.com as the "Duo-Grip" with reasonable results. However is their a better design???? I have observed on "another" web page a recomemdation for chains manufactured by "TRYGG" but would appreciate a comment from anyone that has used them. Also how about pricing?? - has anyone compared the prices on the internet to local suppliers such as Country General Stores or ??

I have a Cub Cadet 7260 with R4 tires. I use tire chains. They are simply the standard style chains like what are used on cars and trucks. I made mine up from used truck tire chains I got from our local town garage. They didn't cost me anything but a few hours making them fit my tractor tires. I made up chains for all four tires, but have only used the front chains. I have found they enable me to steer the tractor real well when my 3 point plow blade is angled off to one side, and with the extra traction they provide, I've never needed to add the rear chains. I plow a 1/4 mile very hilly drive in Northern Vt so I do plow some snow every winter.

I'm strong believer useing tire chain when plowing snow...Ilike that extra bite also feel safer on ice.

The tire chains I use are heavy duty with ice bars or cleats,for I have a long gravel drivway that slopes.

The set of chains cost $250.oo from my Kubota dealer in 95,and even to this day it was money well spent.

The key is to buy a good set of chains and keep them tight,also avoid tar and rocks.
