TIRE SEALENTS ? G-SLIME vs. OREGON

Was trying to do a TBN search could not find much on Green Slime,Oregon tire sealent products.Maybe I was doing it wrong
Once in a while like most of us get slow leaks on small equipment(L3400 Bota-ag tires,JD gt235).Any comments pros/cons Green Slime vs Oregon or any comparable product($$$).Local lawnmower shop swears by Oregon.The fellow that owns it says Oregon stuff works better of course on holes of resonable diameters.Also he said Oregon on a long term situation would not rust your rim like G/S :confused2:
Was also looking to have one of these type products as back-up for when I pull small horse trailers, campers,etc.
Truth or snake oil ?

I've just become a fan of Slime in the last couple of years. I put it in riding mower and ATV tires. I had two tires with slow leaks that are fine now after simply adding the stuff. The mention of rim rust surprise's me. I didn't know that was an issue.

Tip: I put a small zip tie on the valve stem so I can keep track of which tires have been slimed.

I have used green slime in tires that had slow leaks that were too hard to find.
If I change a valve stem, take the wheel off, inspect the heck out of it, put it in a water bath and STILL can't find the leak I usually conclude that it only goes down when rolling, so I have ZERO chance of finding it.
THAT is when I go for the slime jug.

I used Prestone yellow in a set of R4s before filling them with RimGuard, ran it around for a few minutes to distribute it, etc.
I have had no leaks on that tractor, though I can't say that I have seen anything poking out of a tire on it either, so maybe it works, maybe it hasn't had to (-:

These products work, but degrade with use. There is fibrous material in them that aids forming a filter cake to block a hole. This material breaks up with extended use making it more and more important to park with the hole down.
