Ford 1210 (1986)
I have a Ford 1210 FWD that has 29x12.00-15 on the rear and calls for 20x8.0-10 but has 20.5x8.0-10 on the front. Will this 1/2" difference make a difference or can the drive train deal with this difference. I wanted to put AG tires on the tractor but calls for 16" wheels on the rear. Not sure I need the AG tires bad enough to buy new wheels unless somebody knows of another way around this. Thanks

I'm thinking the size on the front won't matter a whole lot unless you run in 4 wheel drive on hard surfaces a lot. There is some latitude built into the system to allow for faster wear of the front tires -- they start out running quite a bit faster than the rears and can get to where they run at the same speed as they wear down. Check with a dealer -- either tire or tractor -- to be sure.
