I,ve got a small tear in my front tire of my BX 24, the tire is fairly new so I don't want to replace it. Should I go with a tube or is there a repair kit I could use? The tire goes flat in about 7days.

Thanks

On the inside of the tire, put a patch, then a new tube, and your ready to go.

If its a tubeless tire like mine is, I use a can of fix a flat. Then fill the tire to full air pressure. It lasts a long time and is water soluble for easy cleanup when it does require a tire dismount to permanently patch and fix or replace the tire.

I bought new 6 ply tires a few years ago. One got a slow leak last year...I found a cut in the sidewall, not through to the cords but when sprayed with soapy water little bubbles appeared. Air found it's way through the plies. I put a tube in it.

If patch would be easy than yes,but I would also tube it..double protection, for it always seems blow out happens the farthest point.

On my l245 I got a tear where a branch tried to tear a hole in the side wall. I put a tube in it and it is still running great after years of service!:)

A few weeks ago TSC had big cans of Slime instant tire repair on sale for $5. I bought a can and used it to repair (6) leaking small tires Saturday: (1) on my logsplitter, (3) fronts on (2) different riding lawn mowers, and (2) on a small generator. I think most of these were rim leaks but at least one, on a mower, was a similar side-wall leak. All those repairs took me a total of 1/2 hour and it appears they are all holding. It all depends on how much you value your time and money I suppose when it comes to how you go about the repair. A tube and patch may be a better long-term solution but would undoubtably take a lot more time and money. I would go for the fix in a can first.

Tire slime fixed it, also put some shoe goo over the gash, the stuff is amazing the heal rubber on rubber, dries hard too.

best way to fix it with out a new tire is patch the inside of the tire and tube it. next best thing if its in the tread is a tire plug, slim and fix a flat are hit and miss when i have used them.

yep.. I only like slime and fix a flatr for porous rubber.. not actual holes.
