If the Kub is like other tractors, splitting means supporting the front and rear halves, the front with a rolling dolley. The entire tractor comes apart, and the steering should be blocked so that you don't have any rude suprises. This can be dangerous if you aren't using your head, but is less hard than I thought it would be. You have to disconnect everything that connect the two halves of the tractor. Fuel lines, hydro, battery etc. Going back together can be irritating at times. You have to be well aligned, and may have to turn over the engine with a pry bar to get the splines to engage. We even turned over the pto to help. Like was said, if you have done clutches on vehicles, don't be afraid of this. Just be aware when supporting for rolling ahead.
