The other day I noticed water on the barn floor around my tractor (MF1540). Looking closer I noticed both rear tires where wet, on both sides of the tires, around the bead. It looks to be a one time leak, as the floor is now dry. Could this have been caused by our drastic temp changes here in NC lately? Should I be taking it to the shop?

Thanks,
Gary

Gary, If it has been cold there for a while and your tires are filled and now its unseasonably warm ,yep they are probably sweating, just like a cold glass on a warm day... good ole condensation

I agree, definitely sweating from the rims because of the warmer humidity and cooler rims....

Hey Gary,

I noticed the same thing today on my John Deere--sweating tires. I live in the southern Piedmont of NC, and today was much warmer than the last several days.

I was wondering, have any of you had actual leakage from around the bottom of the rim? I did, a very small amount, and it concerned me. I added some air to each rear tire, but there still seems to be a tiny wet spot at the bottom of the rim. Haven't noticed until very recently. Both rears are loaded with water/antifreeze mix. Is this normal for this time of year?

Thanks,

Matthew

P.S. Nice looking Massey, Gary!
