Guys,
As I am contemplating spending another 4-500 bucks on my tractor for 2 turf tires I'd like to know the consensus on whether it is best to get tubeless tires or add tube. Also is there a market for my rice tires?
thanks, bw

If it were my tractor I would get tube tires
You can fill them with a no freeze liquid for (extra insurance )
againts rollovers.

I'm not sure just how liquid in the tire, would prevent roll over, keep it from spinning on a pull, but roll over???? I know it will put a little more weight low, but not sure that much.

Adding weight low will lower your center of gravity/center of mass. Your tractor becomes more stable. It requires a greater upsetting arm to cause a couple thus creating rotation around the center.

Brett, I have been planning on getting some turfs as well but just been swamped with other things. But After using the rice tires in some mud a few times, there is no way I'd get rid of them. They are probably worth nothing so I'd hold on to 'em for the day you need to work in the slippery stuff.

Get tubeless. You can put "slime or tire-seal" in them or plug the leak on a tubeless. If you have tubes, you have to pull the tire off the rim everytime you get a flat and repair the tube. As far as weight for FEL use, put on wheel weights, attach an implement or build a weight box. I'm not a big fan of loaded tires on a tractor unless FEL use is the primary use.

adding 2-300# on the ground adds alot of stability with my agco/hino it made a world of difference from tires spinning on hill to feeling stable and plowing through the toughest grass/terrain..

My rice tires were on 16" rims and were replaced with used pickup truck tires matched to the same outside
diameter. Went with tubeless but would go with tubes if adding liquid for ballast. Cost $25.00 each
including mounting.
