Titan Hitch

Just ordered up a Titan for the Van. Its got the factory hitch now but been thinking the new trailer at some point might put a strain on it. Going to have to bush back to 2" though as I couldn't find a 14K mount in 5" rise in 2 1/2" but could in 2". Anyone find it a little odd the aluminum mounts have higher rating than the steel? Must be the one piece construction.
Even though its a BP at least it uses 8 bolts to mount it to the frame (the factory one is too). Most use 6.

I have 2 of the titans and 1 factory Ford 2.5" hitch. They are good products. Why do you need a 5" lift? My trucks all need a drop. Anyway check your local Ford dealer for the bar with the drop you need. They are very close on price.

I currently using the B&W Tow and Stow in its full rise position and I measured it at 4". Can't find anything 4" rise for 12-14K towing but could for 5". Figured one more inch would be better than 1 inch low. This is for the van towing my deck over BP trailer. I've already got the coupler set full down on the channel. Ref Pic I'm assuming the Titan will be in the same place under the bumper.

Yea, I guess the difference is its a van. Your 1 ton van probably sets 6-10 inches lower than my F-250/F-350's. Either way you will love the hitch. I know they make a 4" drop so look around and you will find the right bar. I would not step down to 2" because you lower the limit from 15K to 12K according to my sticker on my hitch.
