That's a Chinese knock-off of a Wallenstein. I would put your money towards the real thing and not that piece of crap.

Does anyone have any experience with the Titan BX42 PTO 4"x10" Wood Chipper
Titan Wood Chipper 3 point attachment Tractor PTO 4"x10" Automatic Tree Brush

I don't need anything huge but I also don't want to get one of the smaller gas powered models (some cost almost as much) that don't seem heavy enough to last.
Any information will be helpful, thanks in advance.

I suggest you to check its welding condition and material thickness if you can. According to its retail price, I m 100% sure this is from China, I know many manufacturers here to produce it. We normally use Q235A(Chinese Steel standard) steel for body panel, but the welding is quite different from different manufacturers. Since Titan doesn't show detail photos for this chipper, it is difficult to judge it.

Generally, you can choose it if you are hobby farmer, it will never be suitable for commercial farmer.

There seem to be quite a few mfg's and models made in China with very similar sizes and shapes and construction ...from the pictures on line. There is big price spread for sure and there isn't a lot of what in the old days we called personal customer contact. I'm a one year owner of a Woodmaxx unit and am still impressed with it and don't regret buying it. My impression is that they found a mfg over there to make it the way they wanted it, with their input and then get them made and shipped stateside. As far as I can tell Woodmaxx has real good customer service and support for their product. Maybe you ought to look at their line in seriousness.

Agreed - looks like a Wallenstein, but I'm sure not the same quality. I have a Wallenstein that's five years old and never a minutes trouble.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the feedback. I was trying, as always, to keep the price down since I'm not using it in a professional capacity.
