New Holland TL100A
Hi everyone,

I have a 2008 New holland TL100A, earlier today when I went to calibrate the clutch (as it was starting to feel rather course), I found it did not improve the situation. Now the last time I did this it worked fine, after getting into the cal mode by holding rabbit/turtle together whilst turning key, I got "CAL" then the oil temp in the PTO display, then I would get "CL" followed by the Abcd etc which you do the calibration on. At that time the oil was cold (less than 12 C), today it would have been more like 25 C, and I did not see the letters "CL". Can anyone tell me what the letters "CL" mean, as seeing them in the PTO display seems to be the difference between the clutch calibration working vs it not. Also, as I have only known how to do calibration from what people have told me, could there be something I am missing to do with saving the new values?.

anymore details on how you perform this type of calibration would be greatly appreciated.

Sean

When calibrating clutches on tractors that I do infrequently, I use the manual step by step, every time. Consequently, I don't have detailed advise for you, not having a manual at home here. If CL didn't come up, I'd say you weren't in the proper menu. That being said, the TL/A is designed for the operator to be able to perform calibrations without any special tools. It follows that calibration procedures would be available to operators who look in the operator's manual. If you did it once, and the values saved to the memory, it can be done again.

cl means the oil temp is too low (65 centigrade) but it can still be calibrated even when too low but wont be as accurate when hot.

Is there any reason why the tractor is not saving the calibration values when above 19 Celcius?. If I do calibration below 19c with "CL" showing, the tractor will work fine until it warms up a bit, then it suddenly resets, and if calibration is done above 19c it has no effect. As odd as this may sound it is exaclty what is happaning.

Is there some trick to storing the values I am missing? I always perform calibration witht the shuttle lever forward, have tried with it backward but that made it even worse.

Thanks

Also the only mention of any form of clutch calibration/adjustment in my users manual is "contact your local dealer"
