TL100A Clutch jerk on first start

Hello, I hope someone can help please. My recently purchased New Holland TL100A clutch engages with an almighty jerk on the first move of the day. After that it is fine, it releases smoothly. The same happens when I use the shuttle to start with out using the clutch pedal. It is like I had just slipped my foot sideways off the pedal rather than releasing it gradually.

The tractor only has 270 hours up.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Some transmissions needs to be calibrated from time to time, checked the manual?

And the shuttle, is it only the first use or is it hard and unpleasant to use all the time? Sure there are the right oil in the transmission?

Thanks for the reply. No, after the first use both the shuttle and the foot clutch are perfectly smooth. I couldn't find anything in the manual - I will look again. Cheers.

Not sure about the oil - I have only just bought the tractor. Probably best I change the oil and see what happens. It seems odd that it is perfect after the first use.

Does happen even if you turn it off for a few minutes?

No, it seems only the first start of the day. The longest it has been idle during the day is only about ten minutes.

I think I understand what he is doing - I will give it a try tomorrow. There is nothing at all in my manual - typical Australian manual - part of the mushroom club.

Agvg, thank you so much for your help. Yesterday I did the calibration as suggested, and today the clutch was silky smooth from the first start to the last start. In fact, it was smoother than it had ever been. The forum to the rescue!
