Backhoe TLB 2310 Questions about backhoe, seat

Hi, I just got tractor. I might have to lubricate locking mechanism as it is hard to lock seat in backhoe position. Also the backhoe and loader won't do two functions at same time. My wife was running it today, but she is used to larger machines where you can curl bucket and move the boom at same time. The dealer will look at it or explain if there is an adjustment. It might be nature of machine as it is small. I still like it and I can be asking too much of it. My wife and her boss were impressed with how it pulled out trees and large boulders. My business will be using it for pipe, baffle repairs on septic which should be fine and it has to be small for minimal lawn damage. I figured I would ask your opinions before I call the dealer again in case it is something simple or if there is nothing to worry about. Thank you for any responces. plowking

I have noticed the same thing with regard to the boom and bucket not wanting to operate simultaneously. Sometimes I am able to get it to do two things at once and sometimes not. I just figured the hydraulic pump couldn't handle the combined load, besides increasing the engine speed I didn't try anything else.
Based on my experience I don't think you have a defective backhoe.....

That is normal. The tracotr has open center hydraulics. Oil will take the path of least resistance when trying to dual function an open center system. As you get more familiar with operatin the machine you will find that you will get better at positioning the joystick and equalizing the pressures to dual function.
