Mowing field about a hour when tractor stops moving, R/F flashing on dash and buzzer sounding. PTO still driving mower normal, engine temp normal. Shut down and check hydraulic, normal. Tractor starts right up normal, Forward engages normal. Mow for a while and it does it again. Turn off, on and back to normal. A few days before I had started it cold and didn't wait for it to run a few minutes, engaged F or R, don't remember, and both indicators flashed and no movement. Thought at the time I might of needed it to idle longer.

Any thoughts on what the flashing R/F mean? Manual is no help.

First thing I would check is the wiring to the clutch potentiometer and the linkage that connects it to the clutch pedal. Also, check the screws mounting the clutch pot to the steering column. All of this is located under the dash to the right of the clutch pedal. The flashing F and R with buzzer is indicative of it not getting a correct signal from the clutch pot.

Thanks for the reply. I took a look at this but didn't find a problem but it makes sense that it is there. The other day I used the tractor for a couple of hours without fault. Then the next day it happened a couple of times, once after hitting some ruts and bouncing around. Most of the time when the ground was even.

Is there someplace that lists error codes for the TYM? Any service bulletins available?

I called the nearest dealer, 50 miles, and they suggested the F/R switch and to jumper it. But when the fault happens and I select R, the fault remains but the reverse alarm sounds as it should. The problem has only happened while going forward so far.

Is there a parts manual available for the PS? There is a standard available but it doesn't have the switches or cover the clutches.
