New Holland TN 70
My NH TN70 will not move forward or reverse with the slide control .. I get the warning light .. circle with a hash mark .. my tractor is a '03 .. do not know if there are any codes .. none are showing. When I take the emergency brake off the warning sound goes off like I'm not in the seat.

Recently I have 1. installed a new battery 2. changed the fuse for the instrument panel 3. was sent incorrect parts as I wanted to replace the pressure switch in the seat. I have hay down and crossed the wires going to the seat and taped them to get by in a jam. Apparently that isn't working.

It sounds like you have the electonic shuttle. First thing check the hydraulic fluid. If it's low, the tractor won't go. Having said that, mine (Tn75S) does something similar to what you described. If I engage the shuttle, put it in gear and then completely push the clutch in and then let the clutch out, it will go. If I simply get everything ready and the engage the shuttle with the clutch out (like I should be able to do), the yellow light you are referring to comes on the nothing happens. My dealer replaced the switch under the seat, etc. to no avail. The beeper still goes off when I first take off, but doesn't have any effect on what happens and it quits after about ten seconds. The dealer plans to dig deeper in mid winter, but for now as long as I do the sequence as described above, I get along pretty well. Hope this helps you.

Hydraulic Oil Level - full .. seat switch ordered but not here, dealer came out after my complaint and there were two seats used for my serial number and they had the other one in their computer. I kept telling them that is not my seat .. on the counter are my parts and they do not match. Dah! I ended up pulling the fuse to the instrument panel and like you said, used the clutch for operating the tractor and raked and baled ten acres .. on time while the part is coming .. my alarm goes off for a while when I start out .. the battery light comes on - no fuse .. but the tractor didn't seem to know the seat switch was not there. Thanks everyone for your comments .. no red book flashing Mojo.

I told my new son in law about pulling the fuse to the instrument panel on my New Holland tractor and it forgot to stop me from using my tractor to rake and bale third cutting hay .. due to a known switch problem in the seat which told the tractor not to move because no one was in the seat .. according to the broken switch .. OSHA.

He told me about air ops on his carrier .. Truman. The pilot comes in hard and fast and has a very short runway, high landing speeds and big forces on the electronics .. must immediately shut the engine off and get pulled out of the way so another jet can land.

When they want to take off .. nothing works. It remembers all the force of the landing and Devan has to start turning off switches, circuits and bringing them back up with an automatic check out once they have forgotten the landing, .. which really didn't hurt anything but the jolt made them read "tilt" and then the engine was turned off. It is like turning a computer off and bringing it back on line .. and he has about two minutes to get the job done.

The pilots know some of what he knows .. and they watch intently and learn stuff each time they go to take off about bringing stability back to the operations of the jet .. their lives depend on it should they get shot up, banged up in flight from explosions and system try and go down on them.

We owe so much to today's airmen and combat forces .. all the mechanics that load and unload the armor piercing ammo with nuclear waste in it .. 1/3 have children and all are girls .. the rest have nothing happening yet. Another situation our men have to face and deal with .. and so do their wives like Bree, my grand daughter. It was the women she knows that figured the facts out. I wrote my Congressman who chairs the Appropriation Committee .. and he was shocked and said he would look into it.
