I know its pretty trivial but...I was in need of a clevis and thought a quick trip to TSC or the Coop would get the job done. However, even the largest size wont fit my draw bar. The store item would fit about an 1 1/2" but my draw bar is about 1 5/8". I wound up ordering one and the supplier was called b/c this info wasnt in the catalog. The largest size fit 2 1/2" but the next smallest (what I could get off the shelf locally) was 1 1/2". Seems like a pretty big jump.

Anyway it got me wondering whether this is one of those metric things that doesnt play well w/ our inch culture.

I have no idea where I got it but I have a reasonally old one that fits my TN with a small amount of clearance. BTW, no one complains that the TN parts are chinsy.

Thats for sure!

BTW picked up the clevis yesterday and its massive! It certainly compares favorably w/ the draw bar.

1st-chainsupply has a nice American made one, seems well made and so far has taken some abuse (like when I raised the bush hog and there wasn't quite enough clearance.... bush hog 0, hook 1. Hook not deformed at all.). WLL 9200lb. They also have lots of shackles... and the chain is generally competitive too.
