Today I was out enjoying the 65 degree weather and decided to play with my TN. As I was driving back the 10 miles from my farm to the shop, I got a little warm and turned on the ac. then I got to thinking, how much power was the ac using. So as I was pretty bored, I did a few fairly unscientific experiments. TN75D, 75 hp turbo, full throttle, 2600 rpm, 32.2 km/hour with ac off, flipped ac on max, no change in speed or rpm. Now going up a long hill so engine was lugging down and speed had dropped to about 31.1, again no change in rpm or speed with ac on full or not. Only thing noticable was that I almost froze to death. Must be the turbo's 38% torque rise /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Actually I don't know what it shows, except that even when the TN is really pulling up a hill, the ac's impact is not even noticable. Scientific.. nah /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
