TN55 Came in TODAY! Take a look at the pictures! I was somewhat disappointed though because it was ordered with SuperSteer and did not have it. Other than that it is a great looking tractor that rides good! Anyways, the dealer is going to make it up with me on their mistake. He is going to come and pick it up in the next 2 weeks and install a New Holland Loader on it. I got a great deal on the loader since they made a mistake on the SuperSteer. They put the tractor on the Dyno and it was making 49 PTO hp. That is 7 more hp than I was expecting. The dealer told me that sometimes they have the pump configured where you can get more hp from the factory. I feel I got a good deal on the tractor for $20,000 including a woods grader blade and a Bush Hog Squealer 6'. The loader is going to cost me an extra $2500. The dealer said since they made the mistake on the SuperSteer they would eat the extra cost. I was not going to buy a loader, but figured might as well get it all in one whack! I have been using the 4610 for the last week and it is a SUPER NICE tractor for $7000. Two tractors in less than 2 months I must have TRACTOR FEVER.

Looks nice, I opted not to get the supersteer mostly because I do not need it for in my fields since there is plenty of room to turn and the standard FWD turns sharp enough. What did the canopy cost you? I have been looking to get one but have not had the time to talk to my salesman. Wish I bought the cab though as my next tractor will have it, I had to choose either the cab or loader and I needed a new loader tractor as my old one was a 67' Ford 4000 and that lost most of its hydraulic pressure. What size tires did you get on that because they do look skinny.

The canopy ran an extra $300 dollars. That was a cheap price to pay if it will protect your skin from the sun. Darn skin Cancer! I did upgrade the back tires to Goodyears, but opted for the smaller front tires making it more easy to turn and I could not justify the extra money.

Nice looking rig and I don't think you will miss the supersteer. I like your canopy, but I have to work under so many trees that even the ROPS gets in the way. Heck, I know I'd have to have an "orchard kit" to get rid of the exhaust stack or I'd drag that off in a week. Anyhow, I was just thinking that with both tractors, you now have one to work (the 4610) and one to wash and wax./w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/cool.gif. NICE STUFF!

Nice Tractor, hope you get as much enjoyment out of yours as I do mine. What size are those tires? Mine are 16.9x28 and 9.5x24, wish I had upgraded to the 16.9x30 and 11.2x24. You would not think that there is much difference between the two, but when you put them side by side, the 11.2x24 are several inches taller and a couple inches wider. I would not be surprised to learn that the 11.2's have 50% more contact area than the 9.5's. The skinny front tires seem to sink into the ground a little more than I would like, especially with a loaded bucket.

Something I learned the hard way....You may want to squirt some penetrating oil on the shafts for the shifters and differential lock. It appears that NH does not lubricate these and I have had them tighten up on me. Mine actually siezed to the poin that the differential lock would not release and the 1234 shifter would not move. It is a pain to get them apart once they have reached this point. I disassembled mine and use anti-sieze, problem solved. Enjoy your new toy.

Jim

My shifting levers and fwd engagement lever both siezed also, I was surprised new Holland didn't put grease zerks on the joints. There are not enough zerks on these tractors for my liking. The 11.2-24 are a good tire as I do not sink much with a full bucket.
