New TN60A in August 06, great tractor for my 'ranch', horses, hay moving, mowing, etc, but persistent problem for the past few months with the loader not working, it won't go down. The lower right coupler in the mid mount remotes was always disconnected. Finally figured out the the upper right hose coupling, which is a right angle came loose, and would drift down and bump the lower right hose coupling and disconnect it!! My friendly dealer picked it up, did 50 hour check up and tighted the coupler and said because of the tight quarters it can't be reconfigured to have a straight coupler like the other 3 to stop this from happening. While I am generally competent to tighten bolts, this one could not be done by me, due to the tight quarters, and the shop man I talked to said it was a PITA to do. Question-anyone else have this problem, what other options are there besides having to take it to the dealer, I thought it could be remodeled somehow but they said not. It would seem one could put a 1/2"-1" extension on it but they were not optimistic. Maybe a special wrench, 15/16" that I could buy somewhere? Advice would be appreciated. Thanks-Bill

Hello, Bill-

I had a slightly weepy fitting on my 32LA FEL QC hoses going into the TN60A 'valve block', and by changing the sequence in which the fittings were tightened was able to get rid of the problem without any great trouble. If memory serves, I think you could also do as you first suggested and try to install different fittings.

What was more disturbing on my own TN60A was that the steering column input shaft seal started to leak at 25 hours. Fortunately, my dealer was a good egg, picked up the tractor, and promptly fixed it under warranty. There's still a little residual oil dirpping down from where the brake cleaner didn't reach, but I'm not entirely convinced the problem's solved for good until the oil dries up...

Sorry for hijacking your thread

Cheers,
Larry

Wilnis, I believe I had exactly the same problem you are having, notice I said "had". Haven't thought about that problem for almost two years. I got this TN60A in 2005 and it has a 32LC FEL with the same sort of midmount remotes for the loader joystick. I remember cursing loudly when the loader on my brand new setup wouldn't lower all of the sudden. One of the upper right angle quick couplers would pivot down and the release the lower one. Once I spent a fair amount of time wrapping and unwrapping various lengths of bungie cord until finding just the right one, have not had a problem since! The bungie cord wraps several times around the 4 hydraulic lines and then goes up around the auxiliary remote block on the right (toward the front of the tractor). If you haven;t already tried this it solved my problem.

Cheers, klingen

Klingen-Thanks for your reply, when I got the tractor back the man who delivered it was the same man who did the service and we decided after looking at the set up that some sort of jury-rigged device to hold up the top right hose would probably work. I put a vinyl covered wire around the top right hose, and connected it to the heater mount as you had done and there's no way I think that hose can rotate down now. :) Thanks again for you reply. Bill
