2003 New Holland TN65 4wd
I recently purchased an 03 TN65 and have used it twice. It has 284 hrs on it and seemed like a new one when i got it. Today, i noticed the the idle will not return to a 6-700rpm range when i cut the throttle all the way back. Rather, it stays at 1200. This happened after using it for about 40 minutes doing some light bush hogging. I first thought it might be a safeguard to cool the engine down after working. But I let the tractor sit for 2 hrs and restarted it and the idle was still 1200 with the throttle set at the lowest setting. Any ideas? Thanks, Rick

Check for a binding cable anchor where the cable attaches to the throttle shaft plate on the injection pump.
