NH TN65
Hey all,
am looking at new tractors (JD5320, Kubota M5700 and NH TN65). got a price of 19500 on a lease return (100hrs) with a 32la loader. not sure i want to go with used, i'm trading in a 35 year old JD2020, kind of want somthing new. opinions on the TN65? I have a woods 720 bush hog, a very heavy duty tiller (maschio 60"), and 5 tine chisel plow. 2wd vs 4wd?
would appreciate any input. my tractor is 35 years old and i'm out of my depth with all these new inovations.
thanks
paul

Get it, love it. No more questions /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif The TN is a great tractor and is actually stronger then the listed numbers. NH dropped the TN's hp numbers on paper only so it would fill the 3930 void. The NH rep told me that they are actually putting out over 50 pto hp. Next time mine is in the shop I will have my dealer throw it on the dyno and check to make sure but it does seem like it has more power then what the lit states. I run a MD172 brush chopper with no problems, 66" tiller, and 12' transport disc, and a 3-16 plow. So it should handle what you want it to do.

The 32LA is a great loader and is strong so you will have no problems. FWA is great if you are going to do a lot of ground engageing work (which it sounds like is your main reason for having a tractor) If you were just going to use it to chop or pull sprayers then you could get away with 2 wd but go for the FWA if you can especially with a loader.

A brand new TN 65, FWA, 32LA loader, shuttle and 3 remotes was costing $25k. This was before the new TN's came out. I do not know the updated pricing now as the loader has mid mount remotes instead of coming out the rear remotes. It also has a larger fuel tank, rubber floor mats and a cup holder which is nice at times for long days in the field. Price out a new TN just to be sure the prices in your area and go from there but there are a lot of happy TN owners around me as the TNF's and TNV's are very popular in the grape vineyards as most of the farmers are converting over to them. Take care and let us know what you decide.

Go with the TN. You'll love it. The lease return will be fine. with 100 hours you shouldn't even know it's not new. I tried the Deere and the Kubota on both sides of the TN and ended up with the TN. It is one very strong excellent running tractor. As Robert said the 32LA loader is very strong.

You won't go wrong with the TN65. 19500 is excellent, especially if it includes the FEL.
I bought a new TN65 about 6 weeks ago and have been thoroughly satisfied.
