When I rotate the light switch on the colum to dash or work lights and turn on the head lights on the dash, both my fuel and tem guage max. Now the combo of rotating the colum switch on the lever with the horn and turning on the head lights on the dash is not the only combo that will make the guages go full reading. sometimes when I rotate the switch quickly and leave the head lights off, then tuen on the head lights after all is well. fooling with the head light switch on the dash will make the guages max sometimes, and rotating the colum switch where the horn is will also not affect the guages 100 percent of the time. I cleaned my battery termnals as well as cleaned the ground to the frame. It seems that I have a issue with the rotating switch on the colum, but as I think that I just turn on the head lights on the dash and the guages go max. I am wondering if any one has had any thing simular happen. I know this will be something simple and very hard to find. Any info will help. I work on electronics for a living so I have a pretty good idea on how to test elecrical systems, just need a little bit of direction.

A wiring schematic would help, but it's probably a bad ground in the gauge circuit.
