TN70S - strange \'honking\' sound from engine/tranny
Here's an interesting one for all you experts out there. At low RPM's (1000 RPMs or so), I sometimes hear what can best be described as a 'honking' sound coming from underneath the tractor (no, I didn't run over a goose...). It seems to be related to the 4wd engagement/disengagement because, when I manually put the system into 2wd, the honking stops. Also, if I increase the RPM's, the honking will go away.
It almost sounds to me like there is a valve someplace that's vibrating when fluid passes through it at certain speeds. It only happens occassionally, and it doesn't seem to affect anything other than me.
Has anyone seen this? I've got a TN70S with 16x16 Power Shuttle. It's done this since it was brand new, and it doesn't seem to be getting better or worse as the hours rack up.
