Sorry, I realize the 4WD on mine is no longer computer controlled, I was meaning how much of the tractor is actually computer related. I can see there would be logic control for 4WD and diff lock, but was wondering if the TN75F uses an ECM or other logic for engine control. The manual I have really doesn't address it.

I notice that my engine runs well under load with tons of power, but sounds like it will run rough once in a while when just driving along with no load.

Two aspects of TN series tractors are computer controlled. Power Shuttle transmissions and SuperSteer equipped traction management systems. If a tractor doesn't have these options, there is no computer. The fuel system is mechanical in nature.

Thanks Rick. Another question if I may. If the 2 to 4% negative slip that is used with the TN75F was designed for traction control (which was originally part of my tractor before it was modified) and super steer (which mine has), it would seem any change in tire sizes should try to target that slip range regardless of the lack of computer logic?

I am just wondering if the 2 to 4% makes sense with a manual lock in or if New Holland used that same negative slip with the manual machines.

To my knowledge they did not. If I were in your shoes, I'd broaden my search to tire sets that fell in the range of 5% lead to about 4% lag. Falling into the range of 0-5% lead would probably be optimal.

That seems to make sense. I realize I am venturing out on my own here a bit, but it's a good tractor and I would like to keep using it. Thanks for the time, really appreciate it.
