Hey all. I just got my 50 hour service bill. I was a little shocked, I guess. It was $125.00 in labor and $125.00 in parts/materials. I have a TN75A - 4wd, 12x12 mech shuttle. It included oil changes, grease, filters, etc. What is your experience? I am not upset at the price, just thought it was a little steep. They did come pick up my tractor (though they had a warranty issue to fix as well -timing), so I think that is their responsibility.

Thanks for your comments

IIRC, the 1,000 hours service on my Kubota B7100 was about $250 and that included $55 for pickup and delivery.

Their shop labor rate is $55 an hour.

I now that the supplies for the 50 hr. service on my new B7510 are about $125 (same as yours). They probably figured 1 hour for the service and 1 hour for pickup and delivery if you are within a few miles of the dealership.

I doubt that pickup and delivery for warranty issues would be at their expense. Look at it this way: If you buy a new car does the dealer come to your house and pick it up and bring it back to you for warranty work?

Charge sounds about right to me.

Don't have a TN, but a TC24. Parts for my TC24d ran about $125. Just the two air filters are $54 for my tractor.

I hate to tell you this but.....
mine was free. This included an hour drive each way to my farm and then all the labour and parts.
The remaining service (at the higher hour marks) is my problem, but I just do it myself. They would be glad to do it for a fee, but I am too cheap and it's easy to do yourself.
You need to talk to your dealer about the future of your business IMHO.
Maybe make it part of any future deal(s).

Some dealers are better than others. The one I bought my tractor from does a great job on sales and service under waranty. Parts is another story, so I buy most of my parts from another local dealer that appers to want my parts buiness more.

That price does not sound too far out to me. Parts are pretty close and figure labor at around two hours.

Always ask for a free hat too /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

We do 50 hour services for the price of the fluids and filters. no mileage or other labor charges.

Price sounds fine to me. Remember TN filters are expensive. Hydraulic trans filters get replaced at 50. Hydraulic fluid doesn't get replaced until 1200 hours.
