I know this has been brought up in the past. I did a search and found problems with turning the key but not with trying to get the key in or out. On my TN75DA it takes everything I have to get the key in. Once in there is no problem turning it on or off. But your back to tugging when you want to get it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but the first thing I'd do, personally, is give it a very short burst of WD-40 and then work the key in and out a few times to see if that didn't loosen it up.

I have had the same problem with my truck. Graphite (powdered) lubricant worked for me.

If that doesn't work cut a new key from a little used original or failing that, replace the ignition switch and keys.

Hope that helps

I saw in an earlier post that someone used wd-40 and it expanded the rubber to where it was inaccessible. I'll try some graphite. It's only got 37 hrs on the tractor so it is a new key. Let you know what happens. Thanks for the replys

Get a new lock under warranty. The only time my TN75D has problems getting the key in is if I go in at completely the wrong angle. Other wise it is like silk.
