TN75
TN75 FWD (03/04 model), recently had one of the brake master cylinders replaced, no issues prior to repair with either running or starting have owned tractor for 10+ years. Day after master cylinder replaced, used it for about 3hrs doing some light bushogging. Next day it just turns over/over, but will not start, not even a hint of hitting, just turning over.

I have always been able to start it from the ground as long as it is in neutral. I tried all sorts of various situations from the ground and sitting in the seat (clutch in/out, neutral/not) and no change. It will not turn over if in gear - which is what I expect it to do.

Has plenty of fuel (have not checked every fuel line yet did open the drain on the bottom of the fuel filter, looked under the dash for any issues with the wiring as I believe they pulled the cover off in order to replace the master cylinder, and no ominous lights (just the battery light that usually is on when it starts and after a few seconds the low oil pressure light will come on, yet I think that should be normal as well)

Initial thought is the repair guy did something yet I also realize it could be a coincidence it will not start after the repair as I used it day of the repair and the next day.

Any thoughts?

Try the simple stuff...did the PTO accidentally get put in gear, safety switch on clutch...

It's a diesel. If it has fuel, air, and compression it should start if it turns over. Check your air cleaner and air passages to the intake. You've had the tractor long enough to know about preheating and glow plugs, I'm sure. Try draining perhaps a quart of fuel at the fuel filter to be sure you have good flow from the tank. Go through the owner manual procedure for bleeding the fuel lines to be sure fuel is getting where it needs to be.

There might be a interlock safety switch not working. I ran a jumper wire to the fuel pump on a Workmaster 45 that quit in the middle of blowing snow. When I try to start it without the jumper, I don’t smell or see exhaust (no fuel), but when jumper it, I get a white exhaust until it starts.

Is your fuel shutdown solenoid functioning?

I suspect a clogged fuel filter especially if you are from the south. I'd replace it if it has been on the tractor for over 100 hrs. If it's turning over, all the lockouts are bypassed. My TN85 won't crank if it's in gear, clutch isn't depressed, pto is engaged, etc.

Be sure to post up the solution.
