15 degrees out. Thermometer doesn't work thank to squirrel damage to wiring that I thought I fixed but obviously didn't. Plowed snow today and yesterday in 14 to 27 degree weather and never got even warm air from the heater. Any body have any ideas on where to start looking? It's almost like something is blocking all water flow to cab. Blower works fine. Lots of very frigid air. Ran tractor for over 3 hours each day, still no warm air at all.
Thanks for any help.

Andy

The heat control in the cab is cable operated and the knob/lever is easily broken. Is the resistence at the knob sufficient to push/pull a cable about 16" long, or is it very easy to move? Do the heater hoses feel warm where they enter/exit the bottom of the LH 'A' pillar? Can you check heater hose, upper & lower rad hose temp with an IR thermometer? Low RPM, low load use even in this weather should get you 140 degree coolant (at least) and plenty of heat. Pull that heat/AC control panel out enough to see what that cable is doing. If necessary, set the valve full open and control heat with fan speed till you make a real fix. A problem on the valve end of the cable would be unusual.

Thanks Rick. I'll check those things. Tomorrow!!! Today it's below zero and I just don't feel like working outside.

Hi, I'm new here. I have a Model TL100ADT, and had the same problem that you described. After reading this thread, I pulled the temp. control adjustment bezel from the overhead (two phillips screws) and found the temp. adjustment assembly was broken where the cable housing connects to the adjustment control.
This makes the complete cable move back and forth instead of just the inner cable. For temporary repair I just moved inner cable back and forth(after tractor warmed up) and found the temp that I needed and left the cable as is until I can order a new control bezel.
My tractor is fairly new (a couple of years, but only 60 hours ) and I'm suprised that this part would be so fragile. I hope this helps.--Wally

I've been away and haven't had a chance to look at it yet. I'll definately look behind plate first though. Thanks

Ok, recieved pt# 47126949 $136.00 new temp. control and installed the new part. Tractor cab heat is repaired and good as new. Special thanks to RickB for starting me on the right track with great information. I especially hope AndyMA has good luck as well (since after all, this was his thread!). Wally
