Kubota L3830 GST
I just purchased a used Kubota L3830GST. I was wondering where to purhase a top and tilt kit with an additional auxillary lever? Also is it hard to install etc. My local dealer wants $1800.00. Any suggestions? Or should I let the pros do it. I have a fairly decent wrenching back ground just not on tractors.

Also there is a lot of talk about detents in the valves. Should the detenting be in the aux valve or the TNT also. Thanks, I am just trying to explore what will get used down the road.

I don't know whether anyone has a "kit" or not. When I added the top 'n tilt to my B2710, I had to order individual parts, valve & cylinders, through a dealer, then had hoses made locally and bought fittings from another place. Of course I did the work myself, but even 10 years ago, I spent over $800.

When I got my L3130 I paid $500.00 for the kit. The dealer said retail was $800.00 and I'm almost sure it's the same kit. Now that was for one remote and when I bought the tractor. I also put it on myself, the only bad part was the weight of the seat. Get help on that part, the rest is a snap!!!!

Hi Johnny,
If there is an OEM kit available (for a reasonable price) I would consider that.
Installing it yourself is a good opportunity to get to know more about hydraulics on your tractor. If it is very expensive, consider buying the parts yourself piecemeal. I have done that for both our tractors and it ends up being very reasonable. Not only that, but you end up with a multi-spool valve for other remotes ... for other hydraulic attachments in the future for just about the same cost (maybe a little more) as a single spool valve.
Here is a thread where a 4 spool valve was added to my wife's tractor.
New Mods to Loretta's 284 Jinma
There were lots of additional mods done to her tractor, but read through it until you get to the heart of the valve addition for top and tilt. First mention of the valve is post #8 and then continues from there. I hope it will be of value to you.

Thank you for all of your help. This seems manageable enough. Way back in the day I had partial ownership in another Kubota and it had TNT. I can't imagine living life with out it.
