My hunt club bought a '57 TO-35 earlier this year. We need to flush out the trans/hyd fluid on it. It has water in it as a result of a dry rotted trans. shifter boot.
What is the generally recommended way to flush out the water after draining it?
Is there a screen to clean while it is drained? If yes, where on the tractor is it located at?? Also, what about the filter, is there one we can get at the local NAPA that will crossover to the original filter??
Where can we order replacement shifter boot(s)?
Also, what kind of fluid goes back in? We have the I&T manual and it says 8 gals. but doesn't say what kind of fluid to use.
Thanks!
Keith
