LX-176 (not really a tractor)
Have been looking for a tractor for too long & missed a good Kubota on CL two weeks ago. Missed this one by about two hours, a good deal that actually hurt as I thought I was finally 'done' & was looking at trailers & had gotten cost of getting Ags for it. It sold the next AM before I got up there with the cash. Guess I need to keep several thousand bucks in ready cash in hand to do these deals at night...

Tired of driving all over looking & near throwing in the towel and ordering a new Kubota or JD--know what I need thanks to TBY + shopping hard the past year+--but found a B7500 in nice shape w/o loader. It'll work but: any idea on cost + wisdom of adding a QD loader to a B7500? Gonna call the dealer tomorrow but checking here.

I figure w/o loader = $3K price difference or better & have walked from tractors lacking original loaders before but any info appreciated.

Stubee - Just for reference, I paid $2,600 for my LA302 FEL - new, with B7500 purchase in June 2003. Best wishes finding what you are looking for!

If my memory serves me correctly, a Kubota loader was something like $3200 when I was looking to add one to my B2400 (basically same tractor). I suppose if it were cheap enough, I'd buy a bare tractor and add a loader...... but I suspect you'd find you are better off to find one with a loader already on it.

When dealing with items on CL, you need to have the cash in hand and be ready to go look at the item in hours (if not sooner), not days. Anything priced to sell, sells fast. If you see a tractor on there for weeks, it's not a deal.

Yeah, I know. This was a Tuesday late night post, me contacting the owner by phone early Wednesday AM + getting info on tire/rim change $ from dealer(s) on Wednesday--not exactly their highest priority & took all day--then me getting the $ Thursday AM to go buy it. Hour drive away. Coulda/shoulda gone Wed. night w. enough $ to hold it but my wife had invited my family over for dinner w. me cooking. Nice guy here but should scrapped the dinner. Been around, cash talks, my slip. Only real concern was that tires/rims would kill the deal but turned out that was a no-brainer after the fact. :(

Thanks for the info guys, think I'll just find a used one w. a loader or buy new. More later.

Figure about $3000+, factory or aftermarket.

I put a Bushhog Loader on my old Kubota; it was $3100 installed. But, that was a few years ago. Locally, a factory loader was running about $300 more, plus transportation.

I bought a used B7510 from a dealer and had them install a new loader (LA302) on the tractor. It was $3000 four years ago.
