Hi guys I have about a 1/8 mile driveway and was wondering the diff. and or witch is better a rear blade which I have a 7 ft or a box blade which i dont have but may get one if better . also will a box blade work for snow?

Firm believer you can do more w/box blade..other than cleaning slope ditches.

Far as snow removal, some folks on TBN do use box blades but most go w/rear blade..than onto blowers.

Ideally, you need both. Read all about the pros and cons of each in the attachments forum.

I have the 335 too and like my rear blade for snow. I have a 6 foot and it is too short when angled to get past both tires. Your 7 will do better. For the driveway I prefer a landscape rake (mine is a rock driveway 1/4 mile). My neighbor uses asphalt millings and prefers the box blade. If I was to choose between box and rake I would go with box for versatility.

I use a boxblade removin snow all the time, its nice cuz it fills up and doesnt trail out. Makes for less passes of snow removal.

I'll sometime use a box blade in the snow but just because I don't have a rear blade :). If there's more than just a few inches on the ground, the box fills up fast and you have to stop, raise it, get off the tractor, get a stick or a shovel, and keep shoving the snow down and out of the box. It gets old real fast, and I can see how a rear blade would be much better. If you spray the box with fluid film or something similar, the snow "may" slide out when you raise the box, but if it's wet and heavy, it can get stuffed in there pretty good.
