My tractor has been in too many fights with thorns/glass shards/metal/sticks. The fronts have been tubed, booted, and slimed and I still lose the battle. Not really wanting to spend $100 a tire I was going to put on some 235/80/16's that come off my one ton. Well I stopped by the tire shop and the guy (who happens to be my brothers best freind) tells me he has some wider tires in the back. These tires are 12.5-16 multi rib implement tire like what you'd find on a spreader or hay wagon. No way those will fit I thought. He told me he'd mount them and I could try it out. WOW!!!! They fit great. The sidewall bulge is only about 1/2 inch more on each side. The footprint is huge and they float over areas I'd sink in before. I walked out of the shop minus $45 (they were used but still in great shape) with two very good tires and some confidence. These have 14 ply rating so the should be much better than the 6 ply Titans that came on Betsy.
