My father remembers seeing some tobacco harvesting equipment when he was young, in the 50s. He describes it as a wooden frame/platform with a engine (car engine?) on top driving a wheel or axle for making it go. Remembers it being very loud. People would be suspended from this in hammock/slings so they were close enough to the ground to easily pick the leaves. We're trying to find some pictures of something like this. Any ideas what this would have been called so I can search? Or have a pic?
