Most of the cash registers now-a-days, you punch in the amount tendered and they automatically do the math for you and tell you how much change to give.
Our small town now has more than twenty "Payday Loan", "Title Loan", "Rent to Own", etc. businesses. I know these businesses prey on the young kids who don't understand basic math. But I never understood where their clientele came from. Now I know.
Scares me!!!!
Talk of the loan places reminded me of a sort of chuckle of bewilderment I had when today going through the local town (population 8,000) and there were two of those places within 200ft of each other. One had a sign that said "Title Loans" and the other had a sign that said "We pay off Title Loans."
I thought that was some weird vicious circle.
You still have to figure out which coins to pull which is difficult for many. Especially when you hand them some 'extra' coins to make the change simpler.
