Today\'s Mystery Part I found on my 54in Mower Deck

Today after mowing I was cleaning off my mower deck of grass clippings. I found this "washer" underneath the forward pulley on top of the 54in deck. It was just lying there loose.

It's about the size of a 50 cent piece with 'barbs' around the circumference. See attach picture.

Does anyone know if this is a part from my tractor? Seems to be running fine with no unusual vibrations or noises.....

This is a JD 54in mower deck for my X485.

The washer that you found Is used in between the wood shipping crates that your tractor was shipped in from the factory to keep them in place while they are stacked on top of one and another.

That "washer" is actually off of the wooden crate your deck is shipped from the factory in. The factory attaches one of these washers on each corner of the crate so when they stack the crates on top of each other, they don't slide around. It apparently came off the crate when unpacked and fell under the pulley.
